Ipswich (A) Match Blog
On Sunday Portsmouth FC had a very rare double header with both the men's and women's teams playing Ipswich away.
The women's game was being played on the Sunday at the Jobserve Community Stadium, home of Colchester United's men's team.

We arrived at the stadium to find ample parking. About 500 spaces costing a very reasonable £5.60 for the whole game. There were a number of friendly stewards around the stadium to direct supporters round to the correct stand.

Once inside the stadium it was pleasing to find printed matchday programmes for sale. Something that is becoming a rarity these days.

Behind the stand were numerous food stalls and a play area for supporters to have a game of table football.

We made our way to our seats an put the flags up. The stewards were very friendly and helpful and we had no issues in the away section and they allowed us to put our flags up where we wanted.

It was a very eventful match, Pompey had some very good spells in the game but it wasn't enough to secure any points. Full credit to the 25 Portsmouth fans who travelled to support the team. It was great to see Meg Hornby followed by the rest of the team come over and applaud them at the end of the game.
Next up for Pompey is a Nottingham Forest away at the City Ground.
